Richard C Woollam is an Advisor for Corrosion and Integrity Management in the Exploration and Production Technology Group for BP based in Houston since January 2005. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Chemical Engineering and a MSc in Corrosion Science and Engineering from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology, UK. He joined BP Research Center Sunbury in 1986 working on corrosion monitoring and management issues for BP global operations. In 1990 he moved to Alaska and over the subsequent 15 years held a number of positions culminating ultimately as the Integrity Manager for BP's Alaska Operation prior to moving to Houston. Here he has taken the fifth during the Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee hearing on the BP Alaskan pipeline shutdown, focusing on the company's management of its corrosion control in its oil-transit lines.
