Rep. Thomas Allen, D-Me.; Sen. George Allen, R-Va.; and Rep. Bobby Scott, D-Va., participate in a wreath laying ceremony at the grave of the late Rev. Leslie Francis Griffin of First Baptist, an  outspoken leader for the students of a 1951 African-American student walkout over their school's terrible conditions - which eventually became a lawsuit that was decided as part of the landmark Brown v. Board of Education case. The Congressmen were part of a Faith and Politics Institute delegation to observe how residents of Farmville, Va. are dealing with racial integration; Prince Edward county closed its public schools from 1959 to 1964 instead on integrating them.
