WASHINGTON, DC - Oct. 25: Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., who chairs the Environment and Public Works Committee, during a news conference on her demands for answers from the Bush administration on changes to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention testimony on climate change. News reports this week said the Bush administration made major changes to testimony CDC Director Julie Gerberding delivered at an Oct. 23 hearing on the health impacts of global warming. This included cutting the testimony from 12 pages to six and removing details about how climate change would worsen air pollution. Boxer wrote President Bush on Wednesday asking for copies of drafts the CDC sent to the White House, and records of comments from the Executive Office of the President and the vice president's office.
