10/12/06--Kirk Fordham, a former chief of staff to former Rep. Mark Foley, R-Fla., and to National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Thomas M. Reynolds, R-N.Y., walks a gauntlet of photographers and media after he testified before the House ethics subcommittee investigating the handling of allegations involving inappropriate conduct toward congressional pages by Foley. Fordham was expected to tell the committee that he informed the office of Speaker J. Dennis Hastert, R-Ill., of problems with Foley three years ago. Foley resigned Sept. 29 after his sexually explicit communications with teenage former pages were made public. An evenly divided panel of two Republicans and two Democrats is examining the issues raised by the Foley matter. Congressional Quarterly Photo by Scott J. Ferrell
