When power went out for a few minutes in the Dirksen Senate Office Building, the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee hearing on Hurricane Katrina fraud, waste and abuse continued in the dark. The curtains to the large windows were eventually opened to supplement the emergency lighting. At the witness table are from left, Gregory Kutz, managing director of forensic audits and special investigations at GAO, and John Ryan, special agent for forensic audits and special investigations at the GAO. As of 12:30PM, PEPCO was still investigating the cause of the power outage.
