Master Gunnery Sergeant (retired) Frederick Upchurch and William "Ziggy" Zwicharowski, Director of the Center of Mortuary Services, U.S. Department of Defense at Dover Air force Base deliver the wreath to the center fountain of the West Front of the U.S. Capitol. To the right are members of the Civil Air Patrol Honor Guard during the ceremony for the Wreaths Across America on the West Front of the U.S. Capitol. The Wreaths Across America story began over 15 years ago when Worcester Wreath Company (a for-profit commercial business from Harrington, Maine) began a tradition of placing wreaths on the headstones of our Nation's fallen heroes at Arlington National Cemetery.
